Additionally, at US GEAR & PUMP we have factory trained experts to handle 316 Stainless Steel and Alloy 88' material. Most of the units are made of the exclusive Waukesha '88' alloy and 316 SS. The large heavy duty shafts, single and twin wing rotors, precision spur trim gears and pistons can be rebuilt up to 100,000ths per side and with no pits, cracks or corrosion, because we use Waukesha '88' and 316 Stainless Steel material.
All single and double concentric seals, 'O' ring steel and double 'O' ring steal seals are replaced from Waukesha Cherry-Burrell. After we rebuild and recondition the units, we treat them for longer wear and guarantee them for up to five (5) years from galling, seizing or corrosion.
We also service all fruit feeder parts, Keyways-Dasher frames, screws, barrels, 3'F pump shafts, gear boxes and special non-sparking stainless steel valves.

URSCHEL KNIVES

Our Shear Knife Division provides factory reconditioning and regrinding for optimum knife performance. Our trained experts use equipment designed specifically for the purpose of skillfully restoring knives to their original condition.
This includes sharpening, re-sharpening, re-tempering and reconditioning various kinds of knives.
The most important feature of these services is SPEED. We have a standard turnaround time of 48 hours to recondition cutters after arrival at our plant, unless special work is required.

Our Shear Knife Division also offers VERSATILITY. Our facilities can handle EVERY size of shear knife, rotary knife or scrap yard knife.
Materials most used in blade applications include:
• 1095 Carbon Steel
• Heat-Treated Stainless Steel
• 301 Stainless, 17-4 & 17-7 PH Stainless High Speed Steel Tool Steel
• Tungsten Carbide and ceramic, M2, O1, A1, D2
• Custom Industrial - Film / Foil / Paper / Food / Packaging and Processing.
Micro optic finishing works with mane materials. Desirable qualities can be enhanced by applying a wear treatment.

There is no single thin blade material that is appropriate for all cutting applications. We advise reconditioning your blades for high wear and shock/chip resistance.
All work is guaranteed 9 to 11 times longer.
If you have any questions concerning our product line, please call me at your earliest convenience. We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Steven Clark

US GEAR & PUMP can now rebuild and recondition:
All Waukesha-Cherry Burrell & Contherm Scraped-Surface Heat Exchanger's
Scraped Surface Heat Exchangers
Used for continuous, closed processing such as; heating, cooling, freezing, mixing, cooking and gelling for dairy, food, meat, cosmetic and pharmaceutical processing. Familiar names are Thermutator, Cherry Burrell, Crepaco, Votator, Votator II, Contherm and Gerstenberg & Agger. Heat transfer is of course a primary element of nearly all food processes and these units move heat to or from flowable products of all kinds to exactly the right temperature with the least possible adverse effect on product quality.
Process to Refurbish and Micro-Chrome Heat Exchanger Tubes & Dashers/Mutators
- Inspect outside diameter and flange of the tube and recommend repairs if required.
- Inspect inside diameter and determine if repair can be made. Each time the tube is refurbished the wall thickness gets thinner. This inspection estimates how thin the wall will become and advises the customer of our recommendations. We do not micro-chrome tubes that are worn beyond factory recommendations.
- Inspect o-ring and seal areas at each end of tube and repair or replace as necessary.
- Inspect machining detail on both ends including flanges, threads, locking lugs, and clips to ensure proper fit and sealing with the SSHE system.
- Strip out the old chrome plating.
- Hone the inside diameter until clean and buff to very fine micro finish.
- Re-inspect inside diameter for any grooves or galling before micro-chrome plating.
- Micro-Chrome plate to 0.008" thickness per wall.
- Hone inside diameter to high gloss finish.
- Complete final inspection of entire tube to original equipment manufacturers specifications.
- We replace blade pins, rebuild & recondition journals, we can rebuild or replace splines & sharpen blades.
